Thrilling Gran Canaria Wedding at Maspalomas you need to see

What can I say about this Gran Canaria wedding?! I had the chance to second shoot with the incredible Don of @donmashelen, who told my wedding story in May 2022 in Provence. I flew into the Canary Islands and immediately hopped over to the pre-wedding party to document the beauty and love the couple share with their family and friends- all of the pre-wedding excitement, but none of the day-of nerves. It was a time of laughter and love at La Punta Yatch club on the south side of the island. So... I wrapped up at the party, emptied my memory cards, formatted everything and got a good rest before jumping in to the wedding first thing in the morning alongside Don.

Right from the beginning the vibe was relaxed, with good times, fantastic people and of course...good Spanish food. All of the classics: Jamón de Bellota, chorizo, empanadas, tortilla... the list just keeps going, baby! The bride and groom each had their own villa to get ready.

From there the couple each got into a classic Rolls Royce for the journey up the mountain to the church for a beautiful traditional Spanish ceremony.

This Gran Canaria wedding was all fun, dancing and wild vibes all night long. From the grand entrance in yet another Rolls Royce, to the champagne tower, to sparkers, neon lights and the techno dance crew the vibe of this wedding reception was all love and party. You could sense the love between Ailen and Jonny all weekend. And this was felt from all of their family and friends too. There were so many emotions throughout the Gran Canaria wedding celebration, and of course, the warmth of Canarios was felt everywhere.

As a London destination wedding photographer I love the opportunities I get to travel to new places telling couples’ amazing love stories and meeting incredible people. This wedding celebration was one I won’t forget quickly and as a Spanish wedding photographer I couldn’t have wish for anything better.
