Kimberly and Aaron’s wedding, in the heart of Ontario's wine country, was filled with soft pastel tones, heritage architecture and the quiet charm that Niagara on the Lake is known for. The day began in a warm, character-filled house where Kimberly got ready with her mother, sister and maid of honour. The atmosphere felt calm and full of anticipation. There were quiet moments between the women that showed just how meaningful this day was to all of them.

One of the highlights came when Kimberly and Aaron shared that their wedding date was the same as her grandparents’ anniversary, 50 years earlier. Her grandparents took over the dance floor, a moment filled with emotion and joy, and it was beautiful to witness and photograph.

As the sun got lower in the sky and the shadows got longer, I asked the happy couple if they wanted to sneak out for some olden hour portraits. I captured them running on the green in front of Willobank Estate, filming them on Super 8 and immortalising the moment on medium format film.
